Last month Brad & Sam were approached to take on their biggest challenge yet.

You will know by now that they are highly competitive and never shy away from anything. Results from previous challenges show they are rarely beaten.

Over the years the boys have used various tapes on site none of which have been any good. So when the phone rang and T-Rex explained they had designed the strongest high performance duct tape on the market ,they knew they had tough competition this time around.

They were told that this is a duct tape that represents a new generation of tapes that can do and hold more than any other out there. But as always, Brad & Sam where quietly confident they would succeed against any product put in their way.

This is where the fun part began. The boys were given free rein to design a challenge which would push this product deemed to tough to tear by hand to the limit, seeing and hoping, they could make it fail.

After an enjoyable and productive creative meeting, lots of ideas had been blasted down and The Bald Builders team decided they would WALK THE PLANK!!!

Scaffold towers were erected and joined end to end with T-Rex Brute Force tape. To intensify walking from one end to the other, concrete blocks where placed on top of the tape. Could this T-Rex Brute Force plank really withstand the weight of a human(Namely Sam)?

They were sceptical, but intrigued to see if this tape would withstand the stress and strain of not only Sam’s weight when walking along it, but also the weight of the concrete blocks, which in total would be withstanding a staggering 46 stone at one time.

We were advised one loop of Brute Force tape would hold 700+lbs. But would the tape snap under the pressure, leaving us with only one Bald Builder? Or would Sam make it to the other end?

The tension was unbearable but extremely fun
